Matilda

Produced By Parkway Playhouse

For this show, I used many pieces of theatrical stock. I wanted to use stock that had been misplaced or unused for many years. Matilda is often forgotten about or ignored despite her brilliance. I used scenery from the theater that had been forgotten about and ignored to exemplify Matilda's character in the set. I used large round platforms from the 80s, which had not been used in many years. Our library was throwing out old books, so I took them and collaged them on the proscenium and on the old platforms. I was told by our old tech director that the brick arches are from the movie Patch Adams, salvaged from the set after it was filmed in Asheville.
