The SpongeBob Musical

The SpongeBob Musical Jr. This show was very silly; it was entertaining to take a childhood cartoon and transform it into a set. I cut out many jellyfish that the younger kids painted and hung up around the proscenium. We painted the classic floating flowers in the background of the cartoon on some studio flats that were placed on different levels. This show reminds me how theater can be so joyful and colorful, and does not need to be serious all of the time.
